Veterinary dictation software A dictated history
with drug names spelt correctly.
Dictating clinical notes in VetiCloud works in the panel and in the vet app. The recording becomes text, and AI corrects the spelling of drug, breed and procedure names and the punctuation before the text goes into the visit field.
- Up to 10 minutesper recording, after which the text goes for recognition by itself
- No recording keptthe program keeps the text in the visit field, not an audio file
- Names from the price listdrugs and services spelt as in your clinic’s price list
Clinical notes are often written after the fact, between patients, from memory. Ordinary speech recognition on a phone copes well with everyday language, but it turns maropitant, amoxicillin with clavulanic acid or a breed name into a jumble of words that then has to be corrected by hand. In the end the vet types anyway, only later.
In VetiCloud there is a “Dictate” button under the visit fields. The vet speaks, finishes with a second click, and a moment later the text appears where the cursor is. Drug, breed and procedure names are spelt correctly, with punctuation, and the content, numbers and doses stay exactly as the vet dictated them.
How it works
-
01
Dictation in the visit fields
The “Dictate” button sits under the fields from the reason for the visit to the advice, so you can dictate the history, examination and diagnosis. A single recording can last up to 10 minutes, and the Esc key stops it without sending.
-
02
Drug names without corrections
Difficult names of active substances, products and breeds go into the record spelt correctly, usually the same way as in the clinic’s price list, so the vet does not fix them by hand after every dictation.
-
03
Corrections without additions
AI corrects only names, obvious recognition errors and punctuation. It does not summarise, does not add diagnoses and does not touch doses, and numbers and units stay exactly as the vet dictated them.

In the panel and on the phone
In the vet app Dictation+ is the default, and the vet can switch to the phone’s free speech recognition. The owner decides whether the AI correction is on and sees usage for the last 30 days.
A lame Labrador and visit notes without a keyboard
A Labrador has been lame on the right hind limb since yesterday. After the examination the vet clicks “Dictate” under the examination notes and speaks for half a minute: about extension of the stifle, the drawer sign and the Metacam given, with the dose. A moment later the field holds text with full stops and commas, and the drug name is spelt as in the clinic’s price list. The vet reads it through, corrects one word and saves the visit with the button, as usual.

How does dictating veterinary clinical notes work in VetiCloud?
The vet clicks “Dictate” and speaks, and a moment later text appears in the visit field with drug names spelt correctly and with punctuation. The vet can still edit it before saving.
Does AI change what was dictated?
No. The correction covers the spelling of names, obvious recognition errors and punctuation, without changing numbers, doses or units. The vet sees the finished text in the visit field and can edit it before saving.
Is the voice recording stored?
No. The recording is used only for speech recognition and is not saved anywhere; the program keeps only the text in the visit field.
Does dictation work in the phone app?
Yes. In the app profile the vet chooses Dictation+ or the phone’s speech recognition, and the choice is saved to their account.
Does Dictation+ need to be switched on separately?
No, every clinic has it. Usage counts against the same pool of AI tokens as treatment history summaries, and the owner can switch off the AI correction on its own.
Which languages can you dictate in?
In the language set in the panel or in the app, for example English, Polish or Ukrainian. The correction does not translate anything and keeps the language of the dictation.
