A dachshund comes for rehabilitation after spinal surgery, and the physiotherapist gets a printed discharge summary from the owner or a photo of a sheet of paper on a phone. The groomer does not know that the cat is on medication after surgery and copes badly with long handling, and the vet does not know how many sessions the dachshund has had with the physiotherapist. Everyone keeps their own notebook, and the only link between them is the owner.
In VetiCloud a grooming salon or a physiotherapy practice is a site on the same terms as a vet clinic. It has a diary and a rota, takes online bookings and bills the visit with a receipt or an invoice. The animal’s record is shared with the clinic: the site sees its own entries, and the treatment history from other places with the owner’s consent.

Diary and online booking
Visit types, for example a clip or a rehabilitation session, have their own length. The owner books a free slot in the app or on the website, and the team’s published rota decides which hours are available.

Referral from the vet
During the visit the vet issues a “Physiotherapy / rehabilitation” referral with the reason and advice. The physiotherapy practice sees it on the animal’s record and books a visit from it, and the owner has the referral in the app along with a PDF printout.

A record shared with the clinic
A visit to the groomer or physiotherapist goes into the same record as treatment at the clinic. With the owner’s consent the vet sees how rehabilitation is going, and the physiotherapist sees the diagnosis and the patient’s long-term medication.

Billing and the owner app
Services from the site’s price list are billed with a receipt or an invoice, including online payment. The owner gets an appointment reminder, and in the pet diary in the app they note grooming or lameness, which the site sees on the record.
A German Shepherd gets back in shape after cruciate surgery
After cruciate ligament surgery the vet issues the German Shepherd a “Physiotherapy / rehabilitation” referral and sends the PDF to the owner. The owner sees it in the app and calls the physiotherapy practice, which also works on VetiCloud. The physiotherapist finds the referral on the dog’s record and books the first visit from it, and after each session she records the range of motion and the home exercises. The owner notes walks and lame days in the diary. At the six-week recheck the vet, with the owner’s consent, sees the whole course of rehabilitation.

Can a groomer use software built for vet clinics?
Yes. A grooming salon works in VetiCloud as a site with its own diary, price list and visit billing. Separate software for groomers and animal physiotherapists is not needed, and the animal’s record is the same as at the clinic.
How does an animal physiotherapist receive a referral from the vet?
The vet issues the referral in the patient record or during the visit. The site the owner brings the animal to sees the active referral on its record, and the owner has it in the app with a PDF printout.
Can the salon see the animal’s medical records?
Only with the owner’s consent. Without it the site sees only the entries it has made itself.
Can an owner book a clip online?
Yes, if the site switches on online booking. The owner chooses the visit type and a free slot in the app or on the website, and the booking goes into the diary.
Can a clinic run its own physiotherapy practice?
Yes. Physiotherapy can be a separate visit type in the clinic’s diary or a separate site on the same account, with its own rota and its own result in the financial overview.
