Electronic veterinary patient record The patient arrives
with their whole history.
The electronic veterinary patient record in VetiCloud brings all the information about the animal together in one place: visits, test results, vaccinations, medicines, documents and imaging. If the animal was treated at another clinic before, that history is visible too, with the owner’s consent.
- With owner consentaccess to history from other clinics, which can be withdrawn at any time
- 57 speciesin one catalogue, from dogs and cats to ferrets, parrots and tortoises
- Internal notesare seen only by the clinic that wrote them; the owner sees no notes at all
A patient who changes clinic rarely brings complete records. The owner remembers that “there was some antibiotic” and “something showed up in the kidneys”, so the vet starts the history from scratch or rings the previous clinic to ask for a discharge summary. Even within your own clinic the history can be scattered: results in a binder, images on a disc and vaccinations in a card that happens to have been left at home.
In VetiCloud an animal has one record in a shared registry. When the owner comes to a clinic, they sign consent at reception for it to see the history from other clinics. If they want a new clinic to know that history before the first visit, they share it in the app. From then on, earlier visits, results and vaccinations from other clinics sit next to your own entries. Prices, billing and internal notes stay with the clinic that entered them.
How it works
-
01
Owner consent before access
At the clinic the owner signs consent at reception. Before the first visit to a new clinic they can share the history in the app and withdraw it later. Without consent, a clinic sees only what it has entered in the record itself.
-
02
Everything in one record
Visits, test results, vaccinations, long-term medicines, documents, imaging and referrals sit in the tabs of one record, with no searching through binders and discs.
-
03
Vaccinations with continuity of cover
The record shows when vaccinations and parasite prevention are valid until, and the vaccination history shows gaps in cover. Entries copied from a vaccination card are marked as manual and are not a basis for a certificate.
-
04
Drugs that come back
The product history shows how a drug was dosed each time it was dispensed. When the same product recurs regularly, the record flags it, and the vet decides whether to add it to the long-term medication list.
A diabetic cat previously treated in another city
A diabetic cat arrives at the clinic, until now managed in another city. The owner shared the cat’s history in the app before coming in for the first visit, so before the appointment the vet already sees fructosamine results from the previous clinic, insulin with its dose on the long-term medication list and the body weight trend over the last year. She starts the history by asking how the cat is coping with the current dose, not by reconstructing two years of treatment.
Questions and answers
Your question is not here? Call us: +48 222 992 995
Who can see the electronic veterinary patient record?
Each clinic sees its own entries. History from other clinics is seen only by a clinic the owner has given consent to, at reception or in the app, and prices, billing and internal notes do not leave the clinic that entered them.
Can documents from another clinic be added to the patient record?
Yes. A discharge summary or result brought in by the owner is uploaded in the “Documentation” tab, even without opening a visit. The file sits there together with attachments from all of the patient’s visits.
Can the owner see the vet’s notes on the record?
No. A note can be internal or shared with other clinics treating the animal, but the owner sees neither, in the app or in the records sent to them.
How does the owner share the history with a new clinic?
At the first visit they sign consent at reception and do not have to tap anything in the app. If they want the vet to know the history before the first visit, they share it in the app, and they can withdraw consent later.
Will you transfer patient records from our previous program?
Yes. We transfer the records from your current program free of charge when you start, and tidy them up on the way, so the mess from the old program does not come across to VetiCloud.
