Many clinics have a “Book a visit” button on their website that leads to an external portal. The owner clicks and ends up at someone else’s address, with someone else’s logo, often with a list of other clinics alongside. The website the team has looked after for years stops doing its job at the very moment the client is ready to book.
VetiCloud gives the clinic a plugin for WordPress, Joomla and Drupal that embeds the booking form on its own website, among its own content. The free slots are the same as in the owner app, and the booking goes into the diary next to visits booked by phone. The owner does not go anywhere else, and reception does not retype anything.

Plugin for WordPress, Joomla and Drupal
The clinic downloads the package and key from the panel. The form is added with a block, a module or a short tag in the content, including on the page for a single service, with the visit type preset.

Days with the number of free slots
Under each day you can see how many slots are left, and fully booked days are greyed out. After choosing a vet and a service, the bar recalculates for that vet and that visit length.

Checking who is booking
After booking, the owner gets an email with a link that confirms it really is them making the appointment. A booking not confirmed this way releases the slot after an hour. Reception approves a confirmed booking in the program, and the owner gets a confirmation of the appointment in the app or by SMS.

A secure connection
The clinic’s key is not visible in the website code, and the form is protected against bots that might try to fill the diary with fake bookings.
A booking from the cat vaccinations page
In the evening the owner of a nine-week-old kitten reads the page about vaccinations on the clinic’s website. Below it is a form with the visit type set to vaccination, so she only chooses the day and time and enters her details. A moment later she clicks the link in the email and confirms that she is the one booking. In the morning reception sees the booking on the list to confirm and approves the appointment in the program, and the owner gets an SMS confirming the visit.

How do I add an online booking calendar to my clinic website?
For a WordPress, Joomla or Drupal website, the VetiCloud plugin is all you need: the package and key are downloaded from the panel, and the form is added on any page you choose.
What if the website runs on another system?
Then you can use a link to the VetiCloud booking page with your clinic preselected. It works the same way, only the owner moves to the VetiCloud website.
Does a booking from the website take the slot straight away?
The slot is held for an hour until the owner clicks the link in the email and confirms it is them booking. The booking then waits for reception to approve it, and if the clinic requires a deposit, the slot is taken once it has been received.
Will the form match the look of the website?
It takes the typeface from the website theme, and the accent colour and corner rounding are set in the plugin panel. Everything else is neutral, so it does not clash with the template.
Does an owner with the app have to type in their details?
No. They scan the code on the form with the VetiCloud Pet app, confirm on the phone and choose the animal from their record, and the booking does not wait for reception to approve it.
